ROAST SIRLOIN OF ENGLISH BEEF WITH ROSE PETAL SAUCE

Experiencing the taste of roast sirloin of English Beef with rose petal sauce is extremely irresistible. This dish covers excellent ingredients like dried oregano, beef, clear honey and other seasonings. With its rose petal sauce, this dish appears more appetizing and delicious.

Preparation Method :

  • Preheat the oven to Gas Mark 6/200°C/400°F.
  • Put the sirloin in a deep roasting tin.
  • Mix the rest of the ingredients, except the flour, soured cream and parsley, together in a bowl and coat the sirloin generously with the mixture.
  • Cover with foil, place the tin in the centre of the oven and cook for one hour.
  • Remove the tin, pour off the liquid into a saucepan and boil until reduced by half.
  • Meanwhile, place the beef back in the roasting tin, skin-side up.
  • Roast for a further 30 minutes, basting every 10 minutes.
  • Allow it to cool slightly.
  • Thicken the sauce by adding little flour, add the soured cream and parsley, cook it for another 5 minutes and serve with the roast sirloin.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 kg sirloin of beef
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 2 cloves garlic, peeled and crushed with 1 tablespoon olive oil 
  • 175 ml rose petal vinegar 
  • 150 ml Basic Beef Stock 
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon clear honey, warmed
  • 2 teaspoons grain mustard 
  • A little flour
  • 150 ml soured cream 
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
