ROAST SIRLOIN STILTON STEAKS

If you are searching for an ideal meat recipe, roast sirloin stilton steaks garnished with pears is your excellent choice! This dish is mixed with perfect seasonings that made it more palatable and juicy. Once you taste its piece of beef, you will surely long for more bite.

Preparation Time :
30 minutes

Cooking Time :
45 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Preheat the oven to Gas Mark 7/220°C/425°F.
  • Place the cheese, butter, port and walnuts in a bowl and blend them thoroughly.
  • Season them well with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  • Using a sharp knife cut a pocket the length of each steak and fill using half the cheese mixture.
  • Place the steaks on a grill rack in a roasting tin,
  • Top each steak with the rest of the mixture,
  • Season again with pepper and place in the centre of the oven for 30 minutes.
  • 10 minutes before the end of the cooking time, top each steak with a few slices of pear and return to the oven.

INGREDIENTS

  • 250 grams Stilton cheese, crumbled 
  • 50 grams butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoons port
  • 75 grams crushed walnuts
  • A pinch of salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
  • 1 kg thick sirloin steaks, trimmed
  • 2 pears, cored and thinly sliced
