This saucy yet less fat dish gives an, amount of protein, vitamins and minerals to your balance diet. This dish is perfect for any occasion such as wedding, anniversaries or even include in your everyday meal. Also perfect to serve in house parties.

Preparation Method :

  • Cut beef into paper-thin slices. Rub the crushed garlic and ginger into the beef.
  • Cut the capsicum into strips. Slice the asparagus diagonally into bite-sized pieces.
  • Cut the onion wedges in halves crossways and separate the layers.
  • Combine corn flour, soy sauce, chili sauce, sesame oil and water.
  • Heat the wok, add oil and fry the vegetables on a high heat for 1 minute.
  • Remove from the wok. Add the remaining oil and stir-fry the meat for 2 minutes or until no longer pink.
  • Stir the corn flour mixture and add, stirring constantly until it boils and thickens.
  • Return the vegetables and stir through. Serve immediately with rice.


  • 500 grams lean steak, rump or fillet
  • 1 clove garlic crushed
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon finely grated fresh ginger
  • 2 tablespoons peanut oil
  • 1 red capsicum, seeded
  • 250 grams tender green asparagus
  • 1 white onion, peeled and cut in 6 wedges
  • 2 teaspoons corn flour
  • 2 tablespoons light soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon hot chili sauce
  • 1 teaspoon oriental sesame oil
