Preparation Method :

  • Melt the butter with the oil in a large frying pan, add the veal and fry quickly to brown on all sides. Remove the veal from the pan using a slotted spoon and set aside.
  • Add the onions to the fat remaining in the pan and fry gently for about 10-12 minutes or until soft and golden. Add the mushrooms and cook for 2 more minutes.
  • Return the veal to the pan, adjust seasoning with salt and pepper and cook gently for further 2 minutes or until the veal is tender and cooked through.
  • Stir in the double cream, chopped parsley with mint and reheat gently. Transfer to a serving dish, garnish with the mint sprigs and serve immediately.


  • 750 grams lean veal fillet, thinly sliced
  • 250 grams mushrooms, sliced
  • 150 ml double cream
  • 2½ tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons Cooking oil
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 4 tablespoons chopped parsley
  • 1 tablespoon chopped mint
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Mint sprigs, to garnish
