CHICKEN BOURGULGNONNE

If you are searching for an appetizing dish, chicken bourgulnonne is your best choice! This recipe is extremely best for all events including daily servings. You can easily prepare this perfect dish within 25 minutes and after cooking, you and your friends will definitely enjoy the meal.

Preparation Method :

  • Put the butter or margarine in a 25 cm / 10 in diameter casserole dish (Dutch oven). Melt, uncovered, on Defrost for 2 minutes.
  • Mix in the onions and garlic. Cover with a plate and cook on Full for 5 minutes. Uncover and mix in the chicken.
  • Cover with clingfilm (plastic wrap) and slit it twice to allow steam to escape. Cook on Full for 10 minutes.
  • Mix the cornflour and mustard smoothly with some of the burgundy, then stir in the remainder.
  • Pour over the chicken. Sprinkle with the mushrooms and salt. Cover as before and cook on Full for about 10 minutes, turning the dish 4 times, until the sauce has thickened.
  • Allow to stand for 5 minutes, then stir round and sprinkle with the parsley before serving.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • 750 grams chicken breast, cubed
  • 2 tablespoons cornflour  
  • 1 teaspoon continental mustard
  • ½ teaspoon dried mixed herbs
  • 300 ml burgundy wine
  • 250 grams mushrooms, thinly sliced
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 tablespoons chopped parsley
