ITALIAN CHEESE, CREAM AND EGG FONDUE

Italian Cheese, Cream and Egg Fondue can be the perfect dish that you can prepare at home! Serve this dish to one of your friends so you better grab all ingredients that should be used while you prepare for it! It can surely bring you delight once you’ve tasted it on!

Preparation Method :

  • Place the garlic, butter, cheese, corn-flour, milk and nutmeg in a deep 2.5 litres / 4½ pt / 11 cups glass or pottery dish. Season to taste.
  • Cook, uncovered for about 5 minutes, stirring four times, until the fondue begins to bubble gently. Remove from the microwave and mix in the cream.
  • Cook, uncovered for 1 minute. Remove from the microwave and gradually beat in the eggs. Serve with Italian bread for dipping.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • 50 grams unsalted (sweet) butter, at kitchen temperature
  • 500 grams Fontina cheese, grated
  • 50 grams cornflour (cornstarch)
  • 300 ml milk
  • ½ teaspoon grated nutmeg
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 150 ml whipping cream
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • Cubed Italian bread, to serve
