HOT RICE SALAD

Preparation Method :

  • Stir together the rice, salt and the boiling water in a 3 cup dish. Cover with clingfilm and slit it to allow steam to escape.
  • Stand the dish on a plate to catch any water when boil over. Cook on Full for 10 - 12 minutes.
  • Allow to stand for 3 minutes. Fork in the cheese, sunflower seeds, cucumber and tomato. Adjust the seasoning to taste.
  • Cover as before and reheat on Full for about 4 minutes.

INGREDIENTS

  • 100 grams cottage cheese
  • 75 grams easy-cook long-grain rice
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 300 ml boiling water
  • 2 tablespoonsams  toasted sunflower seeds
  • A small piece cucumber, peeled and chopped
  • 1 tomato, chopped
