Jellied Russian Salad is such a tempting and delicious food you can’t ever resist! It contains a lot of ingredients like anchovy sauce, olives, gherkins, capers, carrots, potatoes, vegetable stock and gelatin! This can also be added to one of your microwave recipes!
Serves :

Preparation Time :
35 minutes

Cooking Time :
5 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Pour 3 tablespoons of the stock in a bowl. Stir in the gelatine. Allow to stand for 20 minutes. Melt, uncovered on Defrost for 3 minutes.
  • Stir in the remaining stock with the mayonnaise. Cover when cold, then chill until just beginning to thicken.
  • Stir the carrots and potatoes and peas into the setting jelly with all the remaining ingredients.
  • Transfer to a 6 cups wetted jelly mould. Cover and chill for 3 - 4 hours or until firm.
  • To serve, dip the mould in and out of bowl of hot water to loosen, then run a hot wet knife gently round the sides.
  • Invert on to a wetted plate before serving.


  • 300 ml cold vegetable stock
  • 1 tablespoon powdered gelatine
  • 100 ml mayonnaise
  • 250 grams diced carrots and potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons drained capers
  • 50 grams chopped gherkins
  • 2 tablespoons cooked peas 
  • 10 stuffed olives, sliced
  • 3 teaspoons anchovy sauce
