MOCHA CHOC-A-BLOC CANDY

Makes :
1 kilogram

Preparation Time :
15 minutes

6 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Place the chocolate with instant coffee powder in a bowl with the butter. Melt, uncovered, on Defrost for 6 minutes. Stir in the cream and vanilla essence.
  • Gradually work in the icing sugar with a wooden spoon. When large crumbles form, press evenly into a buttered shallow rectangular dish.
  • Smooth the top. Score deeply into about 60 - 70 pieces and allow to set firmly before cutting up. Store in a cool place.

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 grams sifted icing sugar     
  • 500 grams plain chocolate, break into pieces
  • 2 tablespoons instant coffee powder or granules  
  • 50 grams butter
  • 3 tablespoons double cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
