Preparation Method :

  • Cut capsicum into halve and use a sharp knife to remove all the membrane and seeds.
  • Place capsicum cut-side down under a hot grill and cook for 10 minutes or until black and blistered.
  • Cover with a damp tea towel and allow to cool. Peel off skin and cut capsicum into thin strips.
  • Heat oil in large heavy based pan. Add sliced onion and cook over low heat for 8 minutes or until soft , stir it .
  • Add capsicum, garlic, chilli and cream and cook for 2 minutes, stir it occasionally. Add salt, pepper and chopped oregano.
  • Before the sauce is cooked, add pasta to a large pan of rapidly boiling water and cook until just tender.
  • Drain pasta well and return to pan. Add the sauce to hot pasta and toss until sauce Is well coated. Serve in warmed pasta bowls.


  • 3 medium red capsicums
  • 3 tablespoons Cooking oil
  • 1 Large sliced onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • ½ teaspoon chilli flakes or powder
  • 125 ml thickened or pouring cream
  • Salt and pepper(to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh oregano
  • 500 grams linguine or spaghetti
  • Spinach
