Tagliatelle with Fresh Tomato and Basil Sauce is considered one of the healthy and nutritious dishes so far because it’s enhanced with ingredients that can boost your health! Some of these worthy ingredients so far include whole meal tagliatelle and salt!
Serves :

Preparation Time :
30 minutes

Cooking Time :
45 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Cook the tagliatelle in a large pan of boiling salted water for 15 to 20 minutes until it is just tender.
  • Meanwhile, make the sauce: Heat the oil in a non-stick saucepan and try the onion and garlic for 5 minutes until lightly browned.
  • Add the tomatoes and cook, stirring occasionally, for a further 5 minutes, to make a thick sauce with pieces of whole tomato.
  • Drain the pasta and place in a serving dish.
  • Pour over the tomato sauce and serve. 


  • 500 grams whole meal tagliatelle 
  • Salt


  • 2 tablespoon Cooking oil
  • 2 onion, peeled and thinly sliced 
  • 2 clove garlic, peeled and crushed
  • 1 kg tomatoes, skinned and cut into wedges
  • 2 tablespoon chopped basil 
  • Freshly ground black pepper
