Preparation Method :

  • Smear the inside of the chillies with salt and methi powder.
  • Lightly beat the curd and pour over the chillies, mix lightly and make sure all the chillies are evenly coated with the beaten curd.
  • Sun dry these chillies thoroughly, at least 2- 3 days. Store in an airtight container.
  • For serving, the chillies can be shallow or deep fried.


  • 12 - 14 Chillies(Rinsed, dried, Slit lengthwise, keeping the stalk) 
  • 1 teaspoon Fenugreek seeds, Dry roasted and ground into a powder)
  • A pinch Asafoetida 
  • 50 grams Sour curd 
  • Salt to taste
