Preparation Method :

  • Place the pork in a greased 1.2 liter casserole dish. Sprinkle with salt and cook, uncovered, in a preheated moderately hot oven (200°C/400°F, Gas Mark 6) for 15 minutes.
  • Arrange the onion slices over the pork and continue to cook for 10 minutes.
  • In a blender, combine the garlic, tomatoes with their juice, paprika pepper, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, sugar, cider and salt and pepper to taste, and then pour over the pork and onion.
  • Cover and continue to cook in the oven for 25 minutes or until the pork is tender.
  • Serve with jacket baked potatoes and broccoli. 


  • 4 pork sparerib chops 
  • Salt
  • 2 onion, sliced 
  • 2 clove garlic, crushed 
  • 1 x 500 grams tomatoes
  • 2 teaspoon paprika pepper
  • 4 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoon vinegar
  • 2 tablespoon brown sugar 
  • 300 ml dry cider 
  • Freshly ground black pepper
