Preparation Method :

  • Remove any fat from the pork and cut into paper-thin slices .Cut the broccoli into bite- sized pieces and blanch in boiling water for 1minute.
  • Drain and set aside. Rinse the black beans under cold water, drain and chop.
  • Combine the soy sauce, chili bean sauce, sugar and corn flour with 4 tablespoons cold water.
  • Heat a wok, add the oil and swirl to coat the surface. Add the pork and stir-fry over a high heat, tossing until browned.
  • Remove the pork and set aside. Add the garlic and chopped black beans; stir-fry for a few seconds.
  • Stir in the sauce mixture and cook until it boils and thickens.
  • Return the pork to the wok with the broccoli and stir together until heated through.
  • Serve immediately, garnished with chili.


  • 500 grams pork fillet or other lean pork
  • 375 grams broccoli
  • 1 tablespoon canned, salted black beans
  • 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons chili bean sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon corn flour
  • 1 tablespoon peanut oil
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • Red chili, finely sliced
