POTATO AND SPINACH PAKODA

20 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Beat the egg yolk and cheese in a bowl, adjust seasoning with salt and black pepper.
  • Place potato puree and spinach in a large bowl, stir in the egg mixture.
  • Make pakodas out of the mixture.
  • Coat each pakoda evenly in flour and breadcrumbs.
  • Heat the oil and deep-fry the pakoda in batches for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown. Drain well and serve hot.

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 potatoes, peeled, cut into large pieces, cooked, drained and pureed
  • 500 grams spinach, rinsed, cooked, drained and finely chopped
  • 100 grams dry white breadcrumbs
  • 25 grams grated mature cheddar cheese
  • 1 egg yolk, lightly beaten
  • 50 grams plain flour, seasoned with salt and pepper
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • Ground black pepper and salt to taste
  • IDHAYAM MANTRA Peanut oil for deep-frying
