Preparation Method :

  • Wash the rice. Peel and cut the potato into 4 pieces.
  • Preheat oil in a pressure cooker over high heat.
  • Add cumin seeds. After a minute add potatoes and fry for 5 minutes.
  • Add rice and fry for 3 minutes. Add salt, pepper and water and close the lid of the pressure cooker and cook over high heat till one whistle.
  • Open the lid of the pressure cooker after all the air escapes.


  • 250 grams rice 
  • 2 potatoes
  • 2 teaspoon peanut oil 
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds 
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 500 ml water
