Preparation Method :

  • Cut the peeled potatoes into large walnut-sized pieces. Place in a pan of water and bring to a boil. Simmer for 10 minutes until the potatoes are tender.
  • Drain well and return them to the pan to steam-dry a little. Mash the potatoes and keep them warm.
  • Melt the butter in a large pan and gently fry the onion or spring onions until they are soft. Add the kale and a splash of water.
  • Cook until tender and the water has mostly evaporated. Add the mashed potatoes to the mix and season with salt and pepper.
  • Add a small knob of butter if you like.



  • 2 large head Kale, stalks removed and chopped
  • 1 kg Potatoes, washed and peeled
  • 200 grams Butter
  • 2 Onions, chopped
  • 1 salt and pepper
