Preparation Method :

  • Soak split skinless chickpeas in water for 1 hour. Drain away water and set aside.
  • Peel the potatoes and cut into 4 pieces each.
  • Preheat oil in a medium pressure cooker over high heat. Add cumin seeds.
  • Add onion and fry till golden brown.
  • Add chopped coriander leaves potatoes, split skinless chickpeas, tomato, ginger paste and garlic paste and fry for 3 minutes.
  • Add coriander powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder and salt. Fry for 10 minutes.
  • Add water and garam masala and close the lid of the pressure cooker. Cook till 2 whistles.


  • 400 grams split skinless chickpeas
  • 4 potatoes
  • 5 tablespoons IDHAYAM sesame oil 
  • 2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 2 chopped onion
  • 2 chopped tomato
  • 2 teaspoon ginger paste
  • 2 teaspoon garlic paste 
  • 2 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 500 ml water
  • 2 teaspoon garam masala
  • 100 grams chopped coriander leaves
