Preparation Method :

  • Peel and chop potatoes.
  • Grind poppy seeds and dry red chili into a smooth paste using a little water.
  • Preheat 5 tablespoons oil in a small frying pan.
  • Add chopped onions and fry till golden brown. Add chopped potatoes. Fry for 2 minutes. Add garlic and ginger pastes, salt, sugar and turmeric powder.
  • Cover and cook till potatoes are done. Add the poppy seed paste; slit green chilies and remaining oil.
  • Cook over high heat for 3 minutes.

  • 200 grams poppy seeds
  • 2 dry red chili 
  • 4 tablespoons Hardil mustard oil 
  • 2 chopped onion 
  • 2 teaspoon garlic paste
  • 2 teaspoon ginger paste 
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 teaspoon sugar 
  • 2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 4 slit green chilies
