Preparation Method :

  • Peel and finely chop the potatoes. Chop the onion and green chilies.
  • Soak pressed rice in water and completely drain away the water after 1 minute.
  • Preheat oil in a medium frying pan over high heat.
  • Add cumin seeds. After a minute add onion and fry for 2 minutes.
  • Add potatoes and green chilies and fry till potatoes are tender.
  • Add pressed rice, salt and pepper to the potatoes. Fry for 5 minutes over high heat.


  • 4 potatoes
  • 2 onions
  • 4 green chilies
  • 6 tablespoons peanut oil 
  • 2 tablespoon cumin seeds 
  • 1 kg pressed rice
  • Salt to taste 
  • Pepper to taste
  • 200 grams chopped coriander leaves
