Preparation Method :

  • Combine potatoes, flour and egg yolk in bowl.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon of the oil in pan, add quarter of the potato mixture, flatten to 14 cm round, cook until browned underneath; turn, brown other side.
  • Repeat with remaining oil and potato mixture.
  • Bake in moderately hot oven about 20 minutes or until potato baskets are firm.
  • Divide lettuce and tomato between potato baskets, top with filling, cheese and cream.


  • Heat oil in pan, add garlic, onion, pepper, paprika and salt, cook, stirring, until onion is soft.
  • Add mince, cook, stirring, until lightly browned, stir in undrained crushed tomatoes, Tomato Supreme and beans, simmer, uncovered, 30 minutes or until mixture is thick.



  • 750 grams old potatoes, peeled, grated
  • 1 tablespoon plain flour
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 100 ml IDHAYAM MANTRA Peanut oil
  • ½ small iceberg lettuce, shredded
  • 150 grams tomato, chopped
  • 50 grams grated tasty Cheddar cheese
  • 100 ml sour cream


  • 1 tablespoon IDHAYAM MANTRA Peanut oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 150 grams onion, finely chopped
  • Pinch cayenne pepper
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon celery salt
  • 250 grams minced beef
  • 500 grams can tomatoes
  • 300 grams can Tomato Supreme
  • 300 grams can red kidney beans, drained, rinsed
