Preparation Method :

  • Gnocchi: Blend the steamed potatoes with egg, flour and half of parmesan cheese in a blender. Add salt, black pepper and nutmeg.
  • Roll some potato mixture on a well-floured surface into a long roll.
  • Cut into 1 inch lengths and slightly flatten with tines of a fork. Repeat until potato mixture is completely used up.
  • Place broccoli florets in an ovenproof dish and dot with butter. Keep warm in a oven.
  • Bring a large pot of water to a gentle simmer with little salt.
  • Drop gnocchi in batches. When gnocchi floats to the surface after a few seconds, remove with slotted spoon.
  • Place it in an ovenproof dish with broccoli florets. Keep warm while cooking remainder.
  • Drizzle gnocchi and broccoli with cream and mix very gently.
  • Sprinkle with remaining cheese and place dish under a hot grill for 5-7 minutes or until cheese is beginning to brown.
  • Lightly sprinkle with black pepper and serve immediately.


  • 750 grams potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks, steamed and mashed
  • 50 grams butter
  • 250 grams broccoli, steamed until tender
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 50 grams plain flour, sifted
  • 150 ml single cream
  • 50 grams parmesan cheese, freshly grated
  • Pinch of Ground nutmeg
  • Ground black pepper and salt to taste
