Preparation Method :

  • Add peanut oil, a pinch of salt and soda bi carbonate to refined floor. Knead into a smooth dough using water.
  • Divide the dough into 12 equal portions. Make balls and flatten between palms.
  • Peel and mash the potatoes.
  • Preheat oil in a small frying pan over high heat. Add peanuts and fry for 3 minutes. Set aside.
  • In the remaining oil add onions and green chilies and fry till golden brown.
  • Add mashed potatoes, green chilies, salt, turmeric powder and garam masala. Fry for 5 minutes. Remove from fire. Add fried peanuts.
  • Roll the flour balls into 4 inches diameter discs. With a knife, cut in the center to form 2 semicircles of 1 disc.
  • Make a cone of each semicircle. Stuff the prepared potato filling in equal quantities.
  • Seal the edges using 1-2 drops of water.
  • Preheat oil in the frying pan. Deep fry 4 at a time till they turn brown.


  • 500 ml peanut oil
