Preparation Method :

  • Remove bacon fat from bacon, chop bacon finely. Coarsely grate potatoes, press between layers of absorbent paper to remove as much moisture as possible.
  • Combine bacon, potatoes, chives and sour cream in bowl; mix well.
  • Divide mixture into 8 portions, shape into 8cm patties.
  • Heat oil in heavy-based pan, add patties in batches, cook until browned on both sides.
  • Place patties in a single layer on oven tray, bake, uncovered, in moderate oven about 20 minutes or until cooked through.



  • 3 bacon rashers
  • 750 grams old potatoes, peeled
  • 50 grams chopped fresh chives
  • 150ml sour cream
  • 100 ml Peanut oil
