Preparation Method :

  • Mix all the ingredients together except the oil and divide the mixture equally into lemon-sized balls.
  • Heat the oil in a wok; flatten each ball lightly between the palms and fry, a few at a time, till golden.
  • Remove with a slotted spoon and drain the excess oil on paper towels. Repeat till all the balls are fried.
  • Serve hot with mint chutney.


  • 550 grams Potatoes, boiled, mashed
  • 60 grams Groundnuts, coarsely pounded
  • 75 grams Sago, soaked for 10-15 minutes, drained
  • 2 tablespoon, Fresh coriander leaves, finely chopped
  • 1" Ginger, chopped
  • 3-4 Green chillies, chopped
  • Juice of 1 Lemon  
  • Salt to taste
  • IDHAYAM MANTRA peanut oil for deep frying
