Preparation Method :

  • Boil, steam or microwave potato until tender; mash well.
  • Sift flour and soda into bowl, make well in centre, stir in potato, egg, milk, oregano and pepper.
  • Heat butter in large pan, drop 2 tablespoons of mixture into pan, cook until browned on both sides; repeat with remaining mixture.  


  • 200 grams Old potato, peeled, chopped
  • 150 grams Self-Raising flour
  • Pinch bicarbonate of soda
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 200 ml milk
  • 2 teaspoons chopped fresh oregano
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned pepper
  • 50 grams butter
