BOMBAY DUCK SANDWICHES

Preparation Method :

  • Mix the ground masala paste with jaggery, salt and lemon juice. Apply a thick layer of the mixture on one cut side of the fish and keep the other cut side on top.
  • Repeat with the other pieces of fish.
  • Coat the sandwiches with bread crumbs, roll in the beaten egg and once again coat with bread crumbs.
  • Shallow-fry each sandwich in hot oil till golden and crisp. Serve hot with chapatis.

INGREDIENTS

  • 6 Fresh Bombay ducks, cleaned, rinsed, drained, deboned and cut into two flat pieces 
  • 75 grams Bread crumbs 
  • 2 teaspoons Lemon juice 
  • 1 Egg beaten with seasoning 
  • Small piece Jaggery crushed 
  • Cooking oil to fry
  • Salt to taste

Grind to a fine paste

  • ΒΌ Fresh coconut grated 
  • 3 - 4 cloves Garlic 
  • Green chillies, to taste 
  • 1 tablespoon Coriander leaves
