Preparation Method :

  • Combine coconut cream and green curry paste in large saucepan; bring to boil. Simmer to low flame, cook, uncovered for about 10 - 12 minutes or until mixture is reduced by half.
  • Add the duck pieces to saucepan; bring to boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Stir in coconut milk with water and lime leaves; bring to boil. Simmer to low flame, cook, uncovered, for about 30 - 35 minutes or until duck is tender.
  • Stir in sugar, basil and chilies; cook for 5 more minutes. Sprinkle with flaked coconut.


  • 2.5 kgs duck, cut into 9 pieces
  • 450 ml coconut milk
  • 200 ml water  
  • 9 dried lime leaves
  • 500 grams can coconut cream
  • 2 tablespoons green masala paste
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 4 small fresh green chillies, seeded
  • 1 tablespoon dried basil
  • Salt, to taste
  • 4 small fresh red chillies, seeded
