Preparation Method :

  • Toss the turkey strips in the cornflour.
  • Heat the oil in a wok and fry the turkey strips over a moderately high flame for about 2 - 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Remove the meat and drain it on kitchen paper.
  • The Sauce: Mix the cornflour with little water to make a smooth paste, then stir in all the remaining sauce ingredients.
  • Pour the sauce into the wok and bring to the boil. Simmer to low flame for about a minute, then add the turkey and cook for about 5 - 7 minutes over a low heat.
  • Heat the butter in a small saucepan, add the mushrooms and fry over a moderate heat for 2 minutes, then stir them into the sauce. Serve with boiled rice.


  • 150 grams mushrooms, thinly sliced
  • 500 grams turkey breast portions, cut into strips
  • 2 tablespoons Cooking oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon cornflour
  • Boiled rice, to serve

Sweet and Sour Sauce

  • 50 grams tomato puree
  • 50 ml orange juice
  • 100 ml water
  • 2 tablespoons soft light brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cornflour
  • 50 ml red wine vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons clear honey
  • 50 ml soy sauce
  • Salt, to taste
