Preparation Method :

  • Cook the potatoes in their skins in boiling salted water for about 20 minutes until tender. Drain well and cut into thick slices.
  • Stir in the chopped onion. Pour over the oil and vinegar, and mix gently, trying not to break the potatoes.
  • Season with salt and pepper and stir in the chives.
  • Turn the salad into a serving dish and scatter the remaining chives over the top.


  • 1 kg new waxy potatoes, scrubbed
  • 4 tablespoons finely chopped onion 
  • 6 tablespoons IDHAYAM sesame oil 
  • 2 tablespoon white wine vinegar
  • Salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper 
  • 8 tablespoons snipped chives
