Preparation Method :

  • Place all the ingredients in a bowl and mix them together until you have a smooth paste-like consistency.
  • If it is too sour for your taste, add more sugar. Just before serving, spoon the sauce over the dahi vadas.


  • 2 tablespoons tamarind paste
  • 5 tablespoons water
  • 1 teaspoon chilli powder
  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 3 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh coriander
