Preparation Method :

  • Pour Japanese soybean sauce, brown sugar, dried fish stock, mirin, hondashi into a pot.
  • Place over medium heat, stir the contents together until well blended and bring to a boil then reduce heat and simmer for an additional 10 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and the sauce can be kept refrigerated for weeks.


  • 300 grams Japanese soybean sauce
  • 300 grams brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoon dried fish stock
  • 2 teaspoon mirin
  • 2 tablespoon hondashi
