WHITE SAUCE

Preparation Method :

  • Melt the margarine in a saucepan and stir in the flour.
  • Cook, stirring, for 1 minute and then gradually add the milk.
  • Keep on stirring all the time to prevent lumps.
  • Bring to the boil and simmer for 2 minutes, stirring until smooth, and season to taste.

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 teaspoons margarine 
  • 50 grams plain unbleached white flour
  • 500 ml skimmed milk
  • Salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
