CRAB CREOLE

Your day will surely be completed and will definitely turn into happy mode by just preparing the Crab Creole recipe. This is one of the most delectable sea foods that are popularly offered by different restaurants in the entire world.

30 minutes

Cooking Time :
45 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Melt the margarine in a non-stick frying pan, add the onion and red pepper and cook for about 6 minutes, stirring occasionally, until soft.
  • Add the garlic, sugar, tomato chutney, salt and pepper and Tabasco or chili sauce to taste. Stir well and cook for a further 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Add the tomatoes with their juice and simmer gently for 25 minutes, until reduced and thickened. Gently stir the crabmeat into the Creole sauce.
  • Cover and simmer gently for a further 5 to 7 minutes. Pile on to a heated serving dish.
  • Serve immediately. 

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 teaspoon margarine 
  • 2 small onion, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 2 red pepper, cored, deseeded and finely chopped
  • 2 clove garlic, peeled and crushed
  • 2 teaspoon soft light brown sugar 
  • 2 tablespoon tomato chutney 
  • Salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper 
  • Tabasco or chili sauce 
  • 1 kilogram chopped tomatoes
  • 1 kilogram frozen crabmeat, thawed and flaked
