AVOCADO FISH SURPRISE

The avocado fish surprise is indulged with perfect ingredients that truly fit to your regular meals. Preparing this menu is totally simple and doesn’t require great effort. This dish is filled with arrowroot, plain flour, avocados, egg, lemon juice and other ingredients.

Preparation Method :

  • Discard any skin from fish. Place plain (all-purpose) flour in a bowl. Put arrowroot in another bowl with egg whites and whisk together with a fork until light arid fluffy.
  • Peel avocado, remove stone (pit) and cut each half into 5 slices lengthways.
  • Place in another bowl and sprinkle with lime or lemon juice.
  • Heat about half inch oil in large frying pan (skillet).Season fish strips with salt and pepper, then coat in flour. Shake off excess, dip strips into egg white mixture.
  • Add to hot oil a few at a time and cook for 2 to 3 minutes each side until golden and tender when pierced with a skewer.
  • Drain on absorbent paper towels, then pile on to a warmed serving plate.
  • Pour lime or lemon juice from avocados over the fish. Dip slices in flour, then egg white and fry in hot oil until golden (1 to 2 minutes each side - do not overcook). Arrange around fish.
  • Serve with plain boiled rice, lemon wedges and Tartare Sauce.

  • 700 grams whiting fillets, cut into strips
  • 4 tablespoons plain flour 
  • 4 tablespoons arrowroot 
  • 4 eggs whites
  • 2 large ripe avocados
  • 4 tablespoons lime or lemon juice 
  • cooking oil for shallow frying
  • Salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
