Preparation Method :

  • Heat the oil in a heavy-bottomed pan and fry the onions and ginger-garlic paste till golden brown.
  • Add the tomatoes and the powdered spices, fry for 2 minutes. Add the prawns with the remaining ingredients and cook covered for 10 minutes.
  • Cook, uncovered, on a low flame for about 5 minutes or until the gravy thickens.
  • Serve hot.


  • 750 grams Fresh prawns shelled, cleaned and washed
  • 200 grams minced Onions
  • 200 ml thick coconut milk
  • 100 ml IDHAYAM sesame oil
  • 150 grams Tomatoes finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoon Ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon Chilli powder    
  • ΒΌ teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garam masala powder     
  • Salt to taste
