Preparation Method :

  • Heat the oil in a pan and fry the onion till golden brown. Add the ground masala paste, powdered spices and salt and fry for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add the coconut and lemon juice along with the shrimps and 1 cup water. Simmer till done.
  • Serve hot.


  • 750 grams Fresh shrimps shelled and cleaned
  • 100 ml IDHAYAM Sesame oil
  • 1 large Onion minced    
  • 3 tablespoons Coconut grated
  • 2 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Chilli powder    
  • ¼ teaspoon Turmeric powder    
  • Salt to taste

Grind to a fine paste

  • 2 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 1 " piece Ginger
  • 4-6 cloves Garlic
  • 6 Green chillies
  • ½ teaspoon roasted cumin seeds
