Preparation Method :

  • Clean the prawns and marinate in a mixture of salt, lemon juice, half the turmeric powder and red chili powder. Saute for at least 2 minutes.
  • Heat oil in a pan. Add ginger and garlic; saute for a minute. Add onions and saute further 2-3 minutes or until the colour changes to light brown.
  • Add chopped tomatoes, cumin powder and remaining turmeric and red chili powder.
  • Stir in the prawns and cook for 5 minutes or until three-fourths done. Add tomatoes, capsicums and onions. Mix well and cook further until the prawns are completely done.
  • Remove from heat and serve hot, garnished with green coriander.


  • 1 kg Prawns 
  • Salt to taste

  • 150 ml Cooking oil

  • 300 grams Tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin powder
  • 150 grams Tomatoes, cut into cubes
  • 150 grams Capsicums, cut into cubes
  • 150 grams Onions, cut into cubes
  • 2 teaspoon Green coriander, chopped
