Preparation Method :

  • Heat oil in a heavy-bottomed pan and fry the onions till golden brown. Add the chilli paste with the powdered spices, salt and fry for a few minutes.
  • Add the shrimps and fry for one minute more. Add the coconut milk, simmer on a low flame till the shrimps are cooked. Serve hot.


  • 750 grams Fresh shrimps, shelled and cleaned
  • 200 ml Thick coconut milk
  • 100 ml Cooking oil
  • 150 grams Onions, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Curry powder
  • 8-10 Green chillies, ground to a paste
  • 1 teaspoon Chilli powder 
  • ¼ teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • ½ teaspoon Garam masala powder 
  • Salt to taste
