CALAMARI

Preparation Method :

  • Dust the squid rings with flour so that they are lightly coated.
  • Heat the oil in a deep fry pan or wok. Deep-fry the squid rings in batches for about 3 minutes or until golden brown and crisp all over by turning several times.
  • Remove and drain well on kitchen towels. Keep warm in a low oven while you deep-fry the remaining squid rings.
  • Sprinkle the fried squid rings with salt and serve piping hot, garnished with lemon wedges for squeezing over.

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 grams prepared squid, sliced, tentacles halved, rinsed and dried
  • 75 grams All-purpose flour, for coating
  • Cooking oil, for deep-frying
  • Salt, to taste
  • Lemon wedges, to garnish
