Preparation Method :

  • Roll each fish strip and secure with a toothpick.
  • Heat butter in a heavy-bottomed pan and saute onions until soft.
  • Add green chillies and ginger to the onions and stir- fry for a few minutes.
  • Add turmeric powder, yoghurt, cream, fenugreek seeds and green cardamom powder. Saute for 10 minutes.
  • Place the fish rolls in the sauce and cook on slow fire for 10-15 minutes or until the fish is cooked. Remove from heat.
  • Transfer the fish into a serving dish and remove the toothpicks.
  • Strain the gravy and pour on top of the fish. Serve hot, garnished with green coriander.


  • 12 Fish into  strips
  • 4 tablespoon Butter
  • 4 Onions, chopped
  • 3 Green chillies, slit
  • 2 teaspoon Ginger, chopped
  • ½ teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 150 ml Yoghurt , whisked
  • 100 grams Cream
  • ½ teaspoon Fenugreek seeds , broiled, powdered
  • ½ teaspoon Green cardamom  powder
  • 1 teaspoon Green coriander, chopped
