MACHHI KOHIWADA

Preparation Method :

  • Cut the fish fillets into fish fingers and marinate with lemon juice, salt, white pepper powder and ginger- garlic paste. Keep aside for 20-30 minutes.
  • In a bowl, mix all the other ingredients except oil. Gradually add water to make a batter of coating consistency.
  • Heat oil in a wok or pan, dip the marinated fish fingers in the batter and deep fry until crisp and golden brown.
  • Remove, drain excess oil and serve hot.

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 grams Fish fillets
  • 250 ml Cooking oil
  • 2 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon White pepper (sated mirch) powder
  • 100 grams Ginger-garlic paste
  • 250 grams Gram flour 
  • 2 teaspoon Cumin powder
  • 2 teaspoon Chaat masala
  • 1 teaspoon Garam masala 
  • 2 tablespoon Red chilli paste
  • 2 teaspoon Green chillies, chopped
  • 2 teaspoon Ginger (adrak), chopped
  • 100 grams Onions, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as required
