CHINESE PINEAPPLE FLAVOURED FISH

Cooking Time :
25 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Sprinkle salt over the fish, rub well with your hands, roll in flour and shallow fry in hot oil until golden brown. Remove from flame, drain thoroughly and keep in a serving dish.
  • The Sauce: Combine all the ingredients together and cook for about 3-5 minutes.
  • Pour the hot sauce over the fried fish and serve piping hot.

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 grams Pomfret, whole, cleaned, drained, rinsed and incised    
  • 100 ml Cooking oil
  • 50 grams Flour, seasoned with salt and pepper
  • Salt to taste

The Sauce

  • 150 grams Pineapple slices chopped
  • 200 ml Pineapple syrup tinned    
  • 2 tablespoon Vinegar    
  • 2 tablespoon Peanut oil    
  • 2 teaspoon Sugar
  • 3 teaspoon Soya sauce        
  • 1½ teaspoon Ginger finely chopped    
  • 1 teaspoon Chilli sauce    
  • 2 tablespoon Water    
  • 1 tablespoon Corn flour        
  • Salt to taste
