Preparation Method :

  • Melt the butter in a pan and fry the onion lightly. Add flour and stir for a minute.
  • Add the tomato juice and cook for some more time. Add seasoning and after simmering for 2-3 minutes, remove from flame.
  • Add the mashed fish and bread crumbs. Mix well, add the egg and blend.
  • Grease a loaf tin with oil and dust with bread crumbs. Fold in the mixture. Bake in a moderately hot oven for about 1 hour. Let cool and unmould.
  • Sprinkle with lemon juice and serve.


  • 150 grams Fish, cleaned, washed, boiled, deboned and mashed    
  • 150 ml Tomato juice
  • 75 grams Bread crumbs    
  • 2 tablespoon Butter    
  • 1 small Onion finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Flour        
  • 2 teaspoon Lemon juice    
  • 1 Egg beaten lightly
  • Pepper and salt to taste
