Preparation Method :

  • Heat the ghee in a pan and fry the chopped ingredients for a while. Add the ground paste and fry till the ghee separates. Add the powdered spices and half the buttermilk.
  • Add fish pieces and cook on a low flame for 15 minutes, turn the fish carefully and serve hot.


  • 750 grams small pieces of Fish, cleaned, rinsed, drained and fried till golden brown
  • 200 ml Buttermilk    
  • 50 grams Ghee
  • 1 tablespoon Coriander seed powder
  • 9 Green chillies    
  • 1 " piece Ginger    
  • 9 cloves Garlic    
  • 1 teaspoon Kashmiri masala powder    
  • ½ teaspoon Turmeric powder            
  • Salt to taste

Grind to a fine paste

  • 4 bunches Fenugreek leaves    
  • 1 bunch Coriander leaves
