There are various healthy dishes which you can just cook for your family, but only few of these foods will surely love by them. Good thing to know that there is the Trout with Salted Cabbage that is very healthy dish to offer for everyone.
Serves :

Preparation Time :
30 minutes

Cooking Time :
45 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Heat the oil in a wok or deep frying pan, add the onion and ginger and cook for 1 minute.
  • Add the trout and fry for 1 minute on each side, until browned.
  • Stir in the stock, and then add the cabbage, bamboo shoots, soy sauce and sherry. Cook for 10 minutes, basting the fish occasionally.
  • Transfer to a warmed serving dish and garnish with lemon twists and coriander.


  • 4 tablespoons Cooking oil
  • 2 onion, peeled and chopped 
  • 2 inch piece root ginger, peeled and finely shredded 
  • 8 trout, cleaned
  • 300 ml chicken stock 
  • 50 grams pickled cabbage, chopped
  • 50 grams canned bamboo shoots, drained and sliced
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 4 teaspoons dry sherry


  • Lemon twists 
  • Coriander leaves
