Preparation Method :

  • Apply turmeric powder to the dry prawns and fry well. Keep aside. Also fry the fresh prawns and keep aside.
  • Heat the oil in a pan fry the ground masala paste till the oil separates.
  • Add the remaining ingredients with the prawns and cook on a low flame for about 45-50 minutes, stirring often. Cool and store it in a bottle.


  • 1 kg Fresh prawns shelled, deveined, washed and dried 
  • 250 grams Sugar 
  • 150 ml Sesame oil
  • 500 grams Dried prawns washed and dried 
  • 50 ml Weak vinegar 

Grind to a fine paste with little vinegar

  • 150 grams Long chillies
  • 1 kg Tomatoes 
  • 150 grams Ginger 
  • 150 grams Garlic
