Preparation Method :

  • Mix all the ingredients except butter, cheese, bread crumbs, potato, tomato with the mashed fish.
  • Grease a shallow baking dish with butter, put the mixture in it.
  • Garnish with the tomato and potato slices, sprinkle with cheese and bread crumbs.
  • Bake in a moderately hot oven for about 25-30 minutes or until the top turns golden in colour. Cut into portions and serve.


  • 1 kg Fish cleaned, sliced, rinsed, boiled, deboned, skinned and mashed
  • 2 tablespoon Butter
  • 100 grams Onion finely chopped
  • 2 Potatoes boiled, peeled and diced
  • 100 grams Tomatoes thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoon tomato sauce
  • ½ teaspoon Mustard seeds powdered
  • 2 tablespoon Cheese grated
  • 6 Green chillies finely chopped
  • 2 Eggs beaten
  • Pepper and salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoon Bread crumbs
