Preparation Method :

  • Bring the soup to a boil, add the gelatine mixture with sugar and cook till the sugar is completely dissolved.
  • Place the pan over ice and cool. Mix in the prawns, mayonnaise and seasoning. Pour into a greased mould and leave to set.
  • Un mould onto a flat dish and serve on lettuce leaves.


  • 250 ml Tomato soup 
  • 100 grams Mayonnaise 
  • 2 tablespoon Gelatine, mixed with 50 ml water
  • 300 grams Prawns, shelled, boiled and coarsely ground 
  • 2 tablespoon Parsley finely chopped 
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar 
  • ½ teaspoon Mustard seeds, powdered 
  • Pepper and salt to taste
  • Lettuce leaves to serve
