The shrimp with tomato sauce is filled with perfect ingredients like prawns, lemon juice, sugar, tomato ketchup, egg and other added seasonings. This special dish is extremely irresistible and preparing this dish is never been so tricky through following its given instructions.

Cooking Time :
20 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Mix together the salt, egg white and 1 tablespoon of the corn flour (cornstarch) with a fork until frothy. Add the prawns (shrimp) and turn until coated with the batter.
  • Heat the oil in a pan. When very hot, add two-thirds of the spring onions (scallions), the ginger and tomato ketchup and stir-fry for 30 seconds.
  • Add the prawns (shrimp), sugar, a pinch of salt, and the wine vinegar or lemon juice. Stir well.
  • Blend the remaining corn flour (cornstarch) in the water and add to the pan. Simmer the mixture, stirring, until thickened.
  • Serve hot, garnished with the remaining spring onion (scallion), with plain boiled rice.

  • 2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 egg white
  • 8 teaspoons corn flour
  • 1 kg prawns, shelled and deveined
  • 12 tablespoons Cooking oil
  • 6 spring onions, finely chopped
  • 4 slices root ginger, finely chopped
  • 4 tablespoons tomato ketchup
  • 2 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 teaspoon red wine vinegar or lemon juice
  • 6 tablespoons water
